Software Engineer — Bristol, UK
I build production software by directing and verifying AI coding agents: architecture decomposed into briefs an agent can execute, multi-lens review of what comes back, and nothing merged that I have not verified myself. Before that, five years in broadcast systems engineering and two years building an engineering organisation of 70+ people.

Most of the code I ship is now written by AI agents. The work is everything around that: decomposing architecture into briefs an agent can execute correctly, reviewing what comes back for correctness, convention and simplicity, and refusing to merge anything I have not verified. Guards and tests get demonstrated failing before I rely on them, because a guard nobody has seen fail is not a guard. That discipline came from five years validating broadcast systems at Eurofins, where a defect reached millions of devices, and from two years building an engineering and delivery organisation of over 70 people from nothing. Outside work I build bespoke FPV drones, ride motorbikes, and travel.
Building production features in a regulated healthcare environment, where changes ship behind tests, review and audit evidence rather than around them. Company name available on request.
Two years designing and building AI systems for B2B clients and for my own products. I built Taylored CV, an async LangChain pipeline that tailors resumes against a job description, with Pydantic schemas acting as a hard boundary against model output rather than a formatting convenience.
Alongside it I built AutoEasy, a Manifest V3 extension that drives application forms with a local Ollama model and recovers from its own mistakes by re-prompting on the DOM error it caused, plus full-stack work such as the GABS booking system and the CyberChecker security scanner.
I set up the engineering and delivery side of the Italian branch and scaled it to a cross-functional department of more than 70 people, designing its quality management system from scratch and tracking compliance through Python analytics rather than spreadsheets maintained by hand.
My priority throughout was removing manual dependencies wherever they appeared: Selenium and Google Sheets API pipelines replaced manual teacher tracking, and contract generation became an instant Python rendering flow instead of a person filling in templates.
Five years designing and running automated test plans for HbbTV, DVB-T2 and ATSC 3.0 conformance, working directly with the BBC and Tivùsat.
On the engineering side I built C# components for the IMF and MXF analyser suites used to validate masters moving from HBO to Netflix, and shell and Python pipelines that raised QA throughput by around 20%. I also ran the technical rollout that kept device testing going remotely through the pandemic.
Principal technical and functional analyst in Risk Advisory on a GRC transformation for Leonardo, in aerospace and defence.
I designed SOC integrations that pulled disjointed network endpoints together through REST APIs, and translated ISO/IEC 27001 and NIST control sets into specifications the engineering team could actually implement.
Backend engineering on Java Big Data pipelines analysing telematics streams from Octo Telematics through Esper EPL microservices, and REST services over Oracle and Spring Boot for Telecom Italia Sparkle transit gateways, held to strict SLA targets.
The EXIN Agile Scrum Foundation certification provides a comprehensive understanding of Agile principles and Scrum practices, equipping individuals with the knowledge to effectively contribute to Agile projects and cross-functional teams.
Exploration of Basic principles and advanced techniques of audio and video compression, internet protocols adapted to broadcasting, and next-generation digital transmission capabilities.
Developing on AWS helps developers understand how to use the AWS SDK to develop secure and highly scalable cloud applications.
From basic procedural syntax to sophisticated object-oriented programming techniques, establishing robust paradigms for .NET software architectural maintainability.
Main exams: Algorithms and data structures, Databases, Software Engineering, Computer Networks, Programming Languages, Human-Computer Interaction, Web services.
Happy to talk about agent-directed delivery, LLM orchestration and the architecture behind the projects above. The showcase repositories carry the design and the trade-offs; I walk through the private code live.
